Workshops
Various workshops and holiday courses take place at Go For It. For example a "Barnum" musical theatre workshop might consist of Circus skills, Make-up and Dance culminating in an extract from the show.
The popular Stage-fighting Workshop introduces the student to Fencing and Combat Skills, encompassing the use of mime, timing and choreography. Other workshops include TV Audition Camera Technique offering the opportunity of performing in front of the camera acquiring practical working experience in preparation for that initial audition or interview.
Guest master-classes read like a Who's Who in the theatre and have included many top professionals from within the industry.
Theatre Skills
Theatre Skills are an integral part of the Go For It term introducing students to many aspects of the theatre including Mime, Audition Technique, Choreography, Historical and Character Dance, Mask-work, Camera Direction, Stage-Management, Script Reading, Speech, Character Acting, Microphone Technique, Musical Appreciation, Dialect, Make-up, Circus Skills, Stage Fighting and Physical Theatre.
Musical Production
Students explore performance, ensemble skills and singing whilst dancing. They also have opportunity to work on Production numbers from favourite musicals such as 'Cats', 'Grease'. 'Les Miserables', 'The Sound of Music', and many more.
